Keep in step with the Spirit

Nthabileng got baptized - we are so happy for her

Hi, hope you are very well! May God bless you in everything you are doing. Here is our latest news.

Decentralised base and centralised base

She and Angi did our Prophetic school
In the Apostolic pioneering school (SOAP) that I did in Worcester 2014 we were encouraged to build decentralised YWAM bases (Centres). Tim Svoboda shared with us his experiences in India and in San Francisco. The idea of a decentralised base is to get where the community is and to work there. After Corona we decided to experiment with different tools while obeying the Holy Spirit. The picture that is now coming to the fore is a pretty effective decentralised base. We have a Work Creation centre that is on course to open in Ikageng in September. We also have a Marriage School (online) where the leaders are in the Netherlands. The Online Prophetic and the TPM schools are also taught with people in different countries able to live it out in their immediate circumstances. Our staffs are also from all over the World and the country. The Online schools allow us to have a close relationship with our staff even if they are in Madagascar, England or Ivory Coast!   Decentralised base creates more leaders, it is in the marketplace and it can create many different ministries.

A centralised base is where everyone stays together in one Ywam base. That is the original way of running a base. A decentralised base is to open different trainings in different areas where it is necessary for that department. With our refugee ministry we are working with a base overlooking a refugee camp. (More details on our website see Operation Refugee Africa)

Prophetic school in Namakwaland

The prophetic school is growing and we were asked to have an Afrikaans school with coloured people in Namakwa land (Northern Cape Province) We also intend to visit in October and have ministry for the weekend. There is also an invitation to Vredefort. Our next online prophetic school starts at the end of July and we see a lot of good fruit from the handbooks and the people that have been trained. If you want to sponsor a textbook for someone in Namakwa land – it a rural area with few churches available – It will be R50 per workbook. We plan to have 10 -20 students. They can also not contribute to the course training, so if you want to give a donation towards this training, if will be appreciated.

DTS invitation to Dzaleka (Discipleship Training School)

I have an invitation to go to the refugee camp base in September to speak on the DTS. The base is praying for a DTS starting in July. They are in great need for finances for the refugees that want to do the DTS. Please pray with us for them as it is important to train new refugee disciples for the kingdom that is amongst them. My role would be to speak on: From refugee to champion. It is a booklet I have written for the specific needs of the refugees. A refugee has taught the course in the refugee camp as well and it was very successful.

TPM sessions through every week (Transformation Prayer Ministry)

This morning we did 3 transformation prayer sessions with people. We train a lot of prayer facilitators but we also do sessions with people every week. This helps people to overcome their lies, trauma and pain in their lives. It is a great privilege to see how Jesus sets people free. Please pray for us for more sessions so that we can help many people.

Studying a diploma in Theology (MCMI- E2M course)

I am busy reading through a book of 800 pages about the Perspectives on the Kingdom of God. I am doing the diploma for personal enrichment and to gain more knowledge around different subjects. We are happy with missions and I don’t see myself becoming a pastor soon, yet the studies challenge me and I get more insight into different views that I have maybe not previously thought about. Please pray with me for the grace to finish the diploma.

Day 2 Day life

We are very busy fixing the garden, cutting trees and cleaning the yard. Christien is getting 25 paintings ready for an art exhibition. (See facebook: Mom & Daughter’s art. Support us by buying a painting!!)

Josua and Andrea and Francois are visiting for the holidays and we enjoy the time together.

This week we also prayed for our friend’s son, he was in prison for some drug-related issue. We could see the Lord Freeing him from some bondages when we prayed for him. So thankful for the Blood of Jesus!

Please pray for

·       Job Iida and Diina in Finland, they are very involved in their church. Diina is growing up so fast and Job is busy with Doctoral studies in Helsinki. Iida is such a good mom and Diina keeps her very busy!

·         Jonathan who needs to plan for next year after he finished his four years engineering degree.
