Bringing God's Kingdom of hope

 

Hi guys. Hope you are doing very well. When we concentrate on the coming of God’s kingdom we get good news on a constant basis. When we are concentrating on the world, we get a world going around like a washing machine. We hope the kingdom of God is coming daily in your life.

TPM sessions at Promosa high school

Vonna is one of the people that we trained in the TPM and she has become the headmaster at Promosa high school.. She phoned Wikus to come and help with the children by doing sessions with them. Drug addiction, gangsterism and all kinds of social ills affects the children. But it feels like we are making inroads. On a recent camp Vonna prayed for 200 children to receive the Holy Spirit. She said: “In the end that is the only thing that really helps the children, that and then TPM.”

We have contact with a person that works at 28 schools. But we want to first really help in Promosa high and then train as many people as possible to help in the community.

Invited to Parliament

In March Wikus had the privilege of being invited to parliament. About 35 pastors were invited to parliament to come and pray and to give input into the way forward from the perspective of the church. Because we do governmental outreach, Wikus was given the opportunity to represent Ywam. They said that we will be invited again as those at parliament wants to walk with a core group of leaders for moral renewal in the country. It was a great privilege, and we will see what the next steps are. Praise the Lord for opportunities to bring God’s Light into the political sphere of society!

Work creation center

We are partnering with Touching Africa, Mosaic and Work 4 a Living with the establishment of a work creation center. We have 7 students for the next 5 weeks. Out of this training there is a possibility of a pothole fixing company in our area. We are still in the research stage, but the possibilities are looking good. Emmah (W4aLiving trainer) is very faithful and is planning a school for every month in the year. Please pray for her for a growing student number every month.

Trip to Namibia with the UofN representatives

We were invited to join the University of the Nations meeting in Africa again this year. The UofN global deans of faculties are coming to Namibia end of April. Wikus is planning to fly to Namibia to attend the conference. As he is working closely with the department of humanities it is important to catch up with all the global developments. The UofN is an organism that is developing all the time and new principles is sometimes introduced. This network of relationships is very important and growing and serving the Kingdom of God in all spheres of society.

Art connect online course ended very well

We are thankful for Alta Krige and Angelica who staffed the course – we had 10 active people on the course that grew in creative expression and really enjoyed the course and the weekly art challenges. We pray about more such courses!

Welcoming 2 new grandkids

Andrea’s baby came 11 February and Elandri’s baby came Sunday the 30th of March. We are very thankful that both our daughters gave birth safely. Andrea to Kathrine and Elandri to William. William is not even a week old, and Kathrine is already a little bit older and starting to smile a bit.

Trip to Finland coming up

We also went for our Visa appointment this week to go and visit Job and Iida in Finland. They are also expecting a baby boy in April. We also pray for a safe delivery for Iida and the baby. We plan to go from 18 May to 10 June to Finland and combine the family visit with some YWAM connecting and TPM sessions. Please pray for all the funds and all the organizing that goes into such a trip.
