Hi guys. Hope you are doing very well, and you are filled with hope. I prayed with one of the students at a school for the Holy Spirit. Afterwards she was astounded that she felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. She was shocked that God really exists and that she could feel the presence of God beyond any shadow of a doubt in her inner being. We can have hope because God exists and does amazing things in the lives of those that follow Him but also in everyone’s lives, many of whom does not know that He is at work in their life.

Kinshasa - Congo

Next week I am departing for Kinshasa. I thank God that the visa and all the provision for the ticket fell into place. It is quite a bit more expensive to travel after the big fuel increases, but I thank God for those that felt on their hearts to give so that the gospel can spread.

We have about 50 pastors we are going to minister to at a pastor’s conference. My topic will be Discipleship. Kinshasa is a mega-city, and the role of the church is very important as a lot of education takes place from the churches as that is the place the Holy Spirit equips the nation for transformation. Please pray for our safety and that the conference will have lots of fruit!

Discipleship schools for churches

I was approached by a senior pastor in the community to help with discipleship schools for multiple churches. We worked out a very good program in where we can help with 4 discipleship schools geared for the community. We are very excited for this possibility, and we are waiting for the churches to come back to us and to confirm the dates of the schools and the final confirmation of the schools. This is planned for 2023 – more information will follow,

Josua preparing for the Philippines

Josua was doing very well in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, he didn’t get his visa for Romania in time and his Schengen visa ran out. He had to return to SA urgently. He is joining the DTS outreach group from YWAM Worcester that is going to the Philippines. He still needs some funds, and he is once again painting and helping us with various jobs to get funds to go on the outreach. He will be going early September to Worcester, if everything works out, to join the DTS for the last two weeks to get to know the group and then join them for the outreach. Please pray with us for him – to keep in faith even though his plans were changed.

Online schools prospering

Christien and Wikus have over a hundred people on the TPM Online course and the Prophetic school this semester. We are continually seeing an increase in our schools, and we are looking forward to the relationship and marriage school and the refugee school to add further numbers to the people that gets discipled. We will be doing the Refugee school (From Refugee to Champion) at a refugee camp in the form of a two-week seminar at the end of the year. We also now have possibilities for the different schools to be done in person next year. Please also pray for and share about our new RELATIONSHIPS course that starts in September. Feel free to join! In the current form the schools can really help churches to grow. It seems that our next season is more in line with churches and cooperating with churches for growth. We hope to see a very healthy new generation of young people to be trained in the Potch, Ikageng and Promosa area.

Counseling sessions at a High school

I have been doing sessions at a school and have been invited to speak to matrics (Final Years High school children) at another school.  In this season it is recognized that values are very important for nation building and it seems that doors are opening that have not previously been open for the gospel.

Christien doing morning devotions on the radio

Christien has been asked to do morning devotions for the radio in Ikageng (Aganang radio station) again. She is doing 6 devotions this week. She focused on FORGIVENESS and, LOVE. We were on life FM two months ago and it continues to feed students to our online schools. Because the online schools have a tremendous reach, we could train many in the prophetic and in hearing God’s voice in their pain. It is very interesting how God is working with our base after Corona. We were pruned and had to shift for the new season, but our new season are very fruitful. We thank and praise God for His wisdom and we hope many can be discipled in the future.

PRAYER TOPICS

·   Please pray for us for these great opportunities that are opening up to share the Gospel in multicultural settings – we are humbled and thankful – but we need a lot of wisdom!

·         Please also pray for our children, studying or preparing for new seasons in their life!

·         We are so excited to share that we will become grandma and grandpa - please pray for Job and Iida in this regard and for their plans to go to Finland next year! We are excited for them but we will also miss them! They will both finish their degrees this year Job his MSc in Astrophysics and Iida Honors in Bio Chemistry.
