Praise God for the amazing things He is doing! Moving in step with what the Holy Spirit is doing is an adventure and sometimes there is a shift in season. We have been seeing an increased momentum in our base and we are very excited by what we can clearly see is from God.

Multicultural YWAM wedding-fun!

This weekend we attended a YWAM wedding in Lenasia Jhb of our great friends Anastasia and Sizwe – both YWAMers with passion for kids ministry. What an amazing multicultural experience! And we found many old and new YWAM friends! Thato did DTS with us in 2014 and she is now working at a children’s NGO in Soweto.

Four new schools for the first semester of 2020

1.            Prophetic school in Soweto   Before I started with the first prophetic school I had a dream that there are 300 people sitting in my class. (We had 12 for our first class :-) I knew the Holy Spirit spoke to me that he wants to bless the school and release the prophetic and the knowledge of the real gift and the true humble biblical way to exercise the gift.  Somebody phoned us from Soweto and organised a school with a church in Eldorado Park Soweto. I get excited when God orchestrates things by Himself. We are going one Saturday a month and we are teaching for 4 hours per Saturday.

2.            Prophetic school at the NWU   We have 2 handbooks we work through and a settled curriculum. Then after the Nations to Nations we got an invitation to teach the school at the university. We have 20 students doing the school! It is always a challenge getting university students into DTS’s because it is a full-time school but the TPM and the prophetic school is worked out specifically around the needs of the university students. Because we are settled now in the way we work and known in the community trust is starting to develop and interest increasing. As the university is an academic institution the prophetic school with its curriculum and handbooks helps as it is a very interesting subject for the students.

3.            TPM school   Christien is running TPM Prayer counselling school and she has 8+ students. We normally see many sessions happening in the season of the TPM school. There is a lot of interest as we have university students and others involved. We also have 4 helpers in this course that also gives time for more discipleship.

4.            April DTS   We are praying and preparing for our Champions DTS – starting April. Staff training and preparations will start this week. You can still invite family & friends who want to do a Missions training!

Thando starting a sport ministry

Thando comes from an orphanage and did DTS last year with us and he also staff at YWAM Potch. He started this year with rugby training in the township and he has two rugby teams that he trains. We are going to introduce him to somebody that does professional motor development for kids. This may help to open a door for Thando in his future. We will see how it pans out. Please pray for his ministry

Sai Moon doing evangelism with water

Sai moon (our YWAM Potch staff) regularly goes to Ikageng with a purified water ministry. He has a machine that magnetises and purifies water. Now he can do the service of bringing clean water to people that has a need for clean water. He has met many people in this way and created a lot of relationships. He prays for them and preaches the gospel – he brings Hope to the community! Everywhere people knows Sai Moon and it helps to open a door for the gospel. Please pray for his ministry

Francois ministering at schools and at church

Francois is doing very well and is ministering at schools, learning to present the prophetic school and the TPM school while also ministering in the church. Please also pray for his ministry and support where you can!

             Ywam specialises in helping people develop their ministries and out of the staff we have very nice ministries developing as Sango is also studying in Switserland in a YWAM Worldview school.

             We are doing staff training for DTS from this week and praying and planning to start a second house in Ikageng and a DTS. Please pray with us as this will bring the KINGDOM of GOD to the poorer people of the African Township.
