We praise God for this season and everything God has done. Currently our DTS is on outreach in Mozambique helping with hurricane relief and praying for many for healing and salvation. We have a lot on our plate in this season as always but it is a very exciting season! Here are the highlights. Please support us with your prayers:

 

DTS outreach team in Mozambique

The DTS team moved from Beira to Pomene in Mozambique and plan to go to Swaziland also. We have Sango and Francois as staff with the DTS and they are doing a great job with the 4 students that went on outreach. We hope that they can be of great help to the Ywam base in Beira and Swaziland and the church they will serve in Pomene. As we know they are led by the Holy Spirit we expect to see a lot of miracles and fruit from the outreach.

Nations to Nations preparation in Namibia (N2N) – YWAM’s conference on reconciliation

Wikus is attending the Nations to Nations in Namibia this weekend; to see how everything works as the N2N is coming to Potch in September. We are excited as this event will be for the university and the whole community of Potchefstroom where we are going to celebrate the redemptive qualities of the different tribes and nations in Potch and South Africa. He is also invited to share in Windhoek Namibia about the visit to Democratic Republic of Congo which has 450 tribes and a lot of conflict – we need to pray for God’s plan of peace and reconciliation in DRC. Wikus will also meet with the N2N leaders to start the preparation for N2N Potch. Please pray with us for this historic event for Potch’s unity! 

Invitation to Gibraltar – Refugee Circle

Wikus is invited to the YWAM refugee circle meeting in Gibraltar that takes place the 10 - 14 June. We already applied for the visa and then he must pay the ticket and the 120 pounds for the meeting at the Rock in Gibraltar. He is invited to speak on the Africa refugee circle and what God has taught us. Africa has 80% of the world’s refugees. Please pray with us for the provision as Ywam only works on sponsorships and we must get the funds ourselves for the invitation. Wikus already applied for his VISA and he still needs approximately R10 000 for the trip.

Invitation to Malawi – YWAM’s Government training programme

Wikus is then invited from the 17 – 24 June to join a team from Switzerland to help as they work with high level leaders in Malawi. The goal is to teach Christian worldview and to study the effects of the reformation on governance. This gives Wikus three important international trips for June. It will be a miracle if I can go on all the trips and we pray that God will open up the way as all these trips are very important.

Operation Refugee music event -  Save the date: 10 August

Michelle is busy arranging a fundraising event for OPERATION REFUGEE AFRICA in Potch for 10 August 2019. She is staffing with Operation Refugee as marketer. She works with Ywam Potch and she has gospel bands and musicians coming to the event that will be hosted at Christian Fellowship Church. This promises to be a great and memorable event where we can raise funds for refugees in Africa to do mission schools in Ywam in Africa.

The UN gets children back from militias after they have been abducted in DRC. Ywam Potch plans to raise funds so that these kids can do courses at Ywam Congo, be healed inwardly and so have the opportunity to be connected to an international university. This is one of the bursaries to be funded with this event.

PRAYER POINTS

ü  Please pray for our DTS team in Mozambique- they still need some funds, so we need to pray and support them.

ü  Our five children all writing exams currently.

ü  Gibraltar and Malawi trips that is coming up – for funds.

ü  Wikus, who is very busy and out of town a lot – May God align his invitations and arrangements and give him grace and finances to go where God sends him.

ü  Thankful for a very blessed DTS lecture phase and also thankful for a lot of interest in our next DTS that will start 16 August 2019. Please pray for God to send us all the needed students and staff and that He will be glorified by this. Applications still open – see http://ywampotch.com

ü  Please pray with us for our next season from August were we will start a new TPM (Prayer Counseling) and Prophetic school and DTS. May God give us new grace and energy and teams to run the race and disciple well.
