Hi, from Potch. It is getting
quite cold here and we are now heading into winter. Winters in Potch are chilly
and we need the fire of the gospel to keep us warm.
Ministry during the year
As the rhythm of the university
students are different than a normal YWAM base we had to learn to form a
ministry around the heartbeat of the university students. To truly break into
this culture we needed to become led by university students. As we are now
finished with our fourth DTS we have been able to establish a culture of
ministry during the year that is flowing with the seasons of the university. We
have now three students that are leading our university ministry on the campus.
Our Monday morning meetings are also on the campus. We are also running small
groups and relational Lordship units that we are looking to multiply on campus.
We are now ready for a spread of the gospel and the raising up of a new
generation of marketplace leaders filled and led by the Holy Spirit.
Three light - weight schools during
the year
We were lead not to fight with
the heavy armour of Saul but with the light armour of David. We have been
running the TPM for a long time but are now starting with the second school
which is the prophetic school. Our university ministry is focused on activating
the Living Word, flowing and ruling by the Living Word (which is the Rhema word
of God activated by Scripture).
It boils down to a TPM school, a
prophetic school and later we plan a church planting school. All are ten week schools
that can be done one evening in a week for ten weeks but following on one
another. This enables students to start with the TPM school, then go to the
prophetic school and end up with the church planting school. We are now in the
pioneering phase of the prophetic school starting in August. All of this is led
by the Holy Spirit. Then at the end of the year there is a DTS for those that want
to go into full-time world mission. We are currently at the second phase of
these three schools.
The end product
The world is aching for company bosses that are not led by greed and
corruption but by the Holy Spirit. Now we can have four steps in the creation
of these coming giants. First they can do the TPM, then the prophetic school
that will have different levels and then the church planting school and then
capped by the DTS for those that wants to officially part of world missions.
This is giving birth to a base that has an incredible relational network and
influence. We have already trained close to 150 in our lightweight schools and
close to 40 in our DTS schools.
Holy
Spirit weekend
In an academic town that has been
dogged by tradition and even started by tradition with many intellectuals and
establishing an intellectual worldview we are unashamedly worshipping God in
Truth and in Spirit. We had our first public Holy Spirit camp and we
coordinated with a church in Ventersdorp where we had trained the TPM course. It
was a great success and we brought a new paradigm of church. As the team where
busy ministering I realised we are modelling church where everybody have a
living relationship with God. The following Sunday the pastor that invited us,
had the most people in his church in seven years. We were shortly afterwards
invited to minister to a youth group in Potch. We saw the miracle cloud of the
Holy Spirit and it brought great excitement, joy, devotion and vision to the
young people.
Heading
to Mozambique
In June I am planning to go to Mozambique to a
volatile area. This is to go and spy the land for a possible DTS journey but I
must go and see what the situation on the ground is before we can send any
young people through there. We are going with men of God to pioneer the road
through Mozambique. The Holy Spirit gave us the command to tame, stabilise and
prosper. I expect to see miracles and the power of God as He stabilises an
area. Please pray for me as there is an element of risk.

Andrea is joining a church outreach to
Madagascar. Please pray for provision and safety in all areas (body, soul and
spirit).

Job is doing his first year in university and is
growing daily as a man of God. He is a true philosopher and needs the guidance
of the Holy Spirit. He is growing as both a spiritual man and an intellectual
and that has its own challenges.

Jonatan, Elandri and Josua are growing with God
and enjoying God’s presence a lot. Being a mission family has its own
challenges and it can sometimes be very hard for them. Please pray with them.

We are incredibly thankful for every donation
and we thank our friends that is helping and donating. May God bless you! Yet
it continues to be a challenge to live only by sponsors, but we look
continually to God for guidance in order to protect the kids from getting
bitter towards God when the funds are low. Christien had to work a temporary
job for the last six months but we truly need her at the base and monthly donations
will free her time. Please give as God leads you and pray with us for this very
