Our mandate to disciple
Hi
to everybody from Potchefstroom. It is really getting chilly here and we had
probably the coldest May in a long time. Hope it does not go for the whole
winter! We had a good first half of the year behind us and we are looking
towards the next season.
Thank you for all the friends and
the prayer partners that are praying with us. God has given us a mandate to
disciple and we are very pleased with the fruit of discipleship. It is totally
different than running a church but we are surprised by the high quality fruit
we are seeing.

Growth at the orphanage
We are very happy
that Sango from DRC is also staffing with us now, he is from our last DTS . He
has amazing experience with children in the refugee camp. He has now been
appointed as administrator at the orphanage and we are seeing things moving
forward now at a very good rate. When we first got involved in the orphanage
Joyce was cooking with a fire for all the kids. Now she had many upgrades in
the living quality of her and the kids and we believe that Sango is going to
play a big part in getting the orphanage’s paperwork done and out of a very
difficult housing situation. Although we could help with connections that lead
to funding of food, clothing and toys the housing condition is really still not
good. Sango is working very hard as a professional administrator to bring
proposals to the city council in order to get a property for the 35 kids. Pray
with us that we can get this breakthrough.
We had two volunteers from France
(Nicolas and Matthew). They are doing a lot for the Orphanage.
Training in Lenasia
We have 8 students with the
counselling school in Lenasia. It is a great privilege to train in Lenasia and
it was my first time in Lenasia with this training. We have 8 very intelligent
people and we hope to plant a self-motivating, self-multiplying organism that
will help with the church growth in the area. As the church is in a Muslim and
Hindu area it is a good challenge for us
to really help the church with the discipleship in counselling we are giving
there. Please pray for these students
and their church.
We are doing well with the
prophetic school and we have students from Fochville in the school as well. As
we continued with the school I just grew aware why good training needs to be
given as there are a few pitfalls in the prophetic. But we are very proud of
our students as the people they prophesied over were very deeply touched and
encouraged. We have settled in our curriculum of the school now. We have one
book that is from the prophetic school in Bethel and another book I have
written. Our previous prophetic school group has started a cell group and they are
still coming together. The prophetic are very exciting and give a lot of joy to
those that are involved.
Ø The next PROPHETIC SCHOOL will be on four
Saturdays, staring end of July. Everyone is welcome - register on our website http://ywampotch.com
Training in Potch
Christien is also busy with a
counselling training in Potch. We are now up to the 300 mark for the amount of people
that have gone through our trainings either in DTS, prophetic school or
counselling school. Many thousands of lives have been touched by the fruit of
the schools. The biggest challenge is that we gather people, train them and
then send them out. Our staff is then basically just the trainers that are
permanent while the students comes, get equipped and then go. Churches, schools
and families reap the benefits of what we do as we have countless testimonies
of what God has done through those that are equipped. We cannot impress those
that are looking for buildings or masses of people yet the influence of the
training has reached and will continue to reach many thousands of people. We have our practical camp 9&10 June –
please pray for all students and trainers. We start our new TPM course in Potch
24 July ! Remember that there is TPM in many cities in SA – just contact us for
more info
Ø The TPM App can be downloaded for free
– you can book a session / get info on TPM. @ Google Playstore – search “Transformation
Prayer South Africa”.
TPM Conference
Here are a few
pictures of the TPM conference in Gauteng where Wikus, Christien and Job were
speakers. We enjoyed to spending time with our fellow facilitators from Gauteng
(Johannesburg & Pretoria) and we were all very motivated. The conference
was held at Ligstad a church with an afterschool care and a counselling
office/team.
