The harvest is plentiful - News August 2020

Hi, guys. Hope you are doing very well and you have hope that springs from the Eternal source Jesus Christ! We have been released from our cage that was locked for many months and down to level 2 recently! Spring is here, the Corona count is going down quite rapidly in SA and we praise and thank God for the new things He released for us and other disciple makers in this season.

What to do in lockdown?

In April when we were supposed to start with our Champions DTS, we got the news that we are going to have a harsh lockdown and nobody may go out of their houses. We were 11 in our house and the first 2 weeks were really a shock to the system and I got really bored after a while not knowing what to do. After 2 weeks I felt lead to work on the online prophetic school. I finished the books, we got teachings on Sound Cloud and it was ready end of June to start with our first online school. We had 7 students and for me it was a trial run to see what works and what not.

Online training a great success

In the 5 previous prophetic schools I got some of the information across but felt I couldn’t really get all the revelations across. The students were still working through the basics and then the course was over
. In the last online course they had to work through 4 books and send in the answers in a period of 8 weeks. Suddenly the light went on and all of the students got a lot more of the revelation and impartation of the Holy Spirit

The feedback of the students was great in the last online course and it felt we had a winner course. Now for the second course we already have over 40 participants and the school only starts in 2 weeks! Most were referrals from the first school. I can now start making disciples more in my expert area and message God gave through His grace working in me. Pray for the new course starting 14 Sept. (Register at http://ywampotch.com)

Our new season as a base

Suddenly we could have a global reach through internet training. A new Fire and Fragrance base also started in Potch area and we were praying about the different roles of the different bases. The question was: “Can 2 bases be in the same smallish city?”.

As the pioneer of Ywam in the city I was really before the Lord to try and get the answer for this question. The answer was: “Start a third base as well!”. In Potch we will then have three bases

·         a base more focused on the students,

·         a second base close to the township more geared towards indigenous missionaries from an African background and

·          the Ywam Potch base more focusing on second level online schools and Operation Refugee.

From player to coach

As I prayed about the future I felt the Holy Spirit saying: “Bryan Hab
ana (great SA rugby player) was a great player but played in many bad Springbok teams while Rassie Erasmus (rugby coach who played before) brought the Springboks from number six to the world champions in 18 months”. I felt God saying I must move more to coaching bases that are in relationship with me through the seven years we ran DTS’s (They are quite a few). By helping them and multiplying them, I realized we would have a greater impact on the Kingdom of God.

The rocket is launched now

Another picture I saw is a rocket that needed two tanks that can provide the necessary fuel for the rocket to leave the earth’s atmosphere. In the picture the rocket threw off the fuel engines because the rocket was already in outer space.

For us it was a relief to move to coaching as it comes very naturally for us to minister to people both with counseling and the prophetic. We are very thankful to God for this wisdom and we can see many disciples can be made now in Potch. Vusi Jama is coming back end of September and then our walk would begin with him to establish Ywam Ikageng with his team.

Praise God for the many disciples of many nations that can now be produced through Potch from 3 bases in the near future!

Operation Refugee speeds ahead

Matthew 9:37-38 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into the harvest field.” If you want to support this ministry – see our Facebook Page Operation refugee-Ywam Potch

Ywam Dzaleka is right next to the refugee camp in Malawi. They have been born out of a partnership between Ywam Potch and Ywam Blantyre and we hope to see many missionaries produced soon for the Central African region. In the end we can see stability for Central Africa, student missionaries and local African missionaries released for South-Africa in the near future. Please pray with us as Jesus said: “Pray that more workers be send out into the mission field.”

We appreciate your prayers and we really see God’s hand of provision every month. Thank you for also supporting us financially as we are still living a life of faith, depending from God for our provision. Praying also for you in this season~

Blessings - Wikus & Christien + kids
