Hi guys. Hope you are doing very well! Hope you are following Jesus daily, hearing His voice and enjoying life-giving scriptural encounters with God. We are working our way through the winter and yesterday had a chilly -3   to deal with in Potchefstroom but we are looking forward to a nice spring coming in less than 25 days. A lot of things are happening in our base which we are very excited about.

Contextualising for Africa

After Corona we re-invented the base a bit for the needs in Africa. After spending time as part of the YWAM international refugee circle it was quite a difference for me when I was released for the refugee circle in Africa. I realised that SA is surrounded by the 4 poorest countries in the world.

After having the experience on the internet with discipleship on zoom we decided to focus more on a cheaper and more widespread internet strategy with well worked out material that speaks on 4 dimensions: We have the zoom meetings, a handbook,  homework and  what Sapp groups for the school where our staff assist.

We found that the schools that have the impartation of the voice of the Holy Spirit are doing very well - we found that the impartation and the discipleship can be successfully done over the internet as well as a walk with people in their life. But with the far lower prices we saw many communities on the schools we couldn’t reach before. We even got sponsorships for people who cannot afford or whose countries do not have any way of making payments to the outside world! We can now reach more unreached groups and people who have to work or take care of children.

Starting with the Online TPM and Prophetic school

Our numbers for the TPM online course is 50 participants and for the prophetic school 45 participants on the group. Because of the nature of internet discipleship we see not all of the students finishing as some fall off the group as soon as they received the answer for their life-questions, or when things at home doesn’t allow them to complete the course. Yet those that finish the schools must take constant decisions for 3 months to remain engaged out of their own free will. Those students gave birth to a lot of new relationships and ministry opportunities in various kinds of ways. We currently have a very busy online campus with very far reach! We praise the Lord for this amazing opportunity and great way to share His Love!

Staff : We are so thankful for our amazing online school staff who volunteers to help students practice the prophetic / discuss / mark homework/ pray or in the TPM school they do TPM sessions with individuals / lead the small group discussion and practise groups and marking the homework! We are working soclosely and effectively with our staff in both schools –with many we become friends for life – even though we have not even met personally!! Such a privilege to have staff from Madagascar, Ivory coast, Cameroon/England, Uganda, India, Netherlands/Ivory Coast, USA/Cuba, USA/Eswatini and all over South Africa! (where there is a “ / “it means the person is not staying in their country of birth)

Upcoming Student Prophetic School in Potch

We have an exciting, contextualised school for the students currently studying at NWU that helps them align with the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. We are Bible based and Holy Spirit lead- we have seen people with a living relationship with the Holy Spirit walk into freedom in their lives. We are excited about this new school and the students we will meet that we can walk with, mentor, disciple and be friends with. We have the added benefit of having 3 kids still at the university and Andrea and Francois in ministry close to the university. Andrea and Francois are focusing on the Making Discipleship Movement that makes small groups with unreached people groups in the city. All of this helps that we can plant a healthy discipleship community with the church we currently serve at as well.

Helping the broad economic empowerment school - BEEP

We have a very interesting and exciting new development. I knew about the BEEP group that was training Christian business entrepreneurship. I was also walking with the Touching Africa network that is connected to the Global Day of Prayer and Graham Power’s Unashamedly Ethical movement for Christian businesses. Through relationship I was asked to lead the new school!

This school focuses on launching businesses from a Christian perspective. I am working with AGES that has water engineering as its core business to launch new Christian entrepreneurial startups from the school. I am working with a previous economic professor and a team to launch visionary entrepreneurial Christian businesses. It was a surprising twist for me as we now also start to get a footprint in business-as-missions. With 40% of SA unemployed - the ministry, discipleship and Christian business are starting to take hands to see what we can do about the unemployment.

YWAM Potch is busy and has about 100+ students per semester currently and growing! We also launch the Relationship school in September. Pray with us that we can train more workers for the harvest!

TPM sessions - Transformation Prayer Ministry

Due to the fact that TPM sessions are confidential, we can’t testify of the wonderful TPM sessions we experience with people from different ages, backgrounds and situations. We are amazed how the LORD’s perspective, healing and comfort bring so much light and life into people’s lives!  We see people forgive after God convince them of the true reasons for forgiveness – He does not force, but lovingly convince people to forgive and let go of pain that was hiding and destroying them. We see relationships healed as people see things from God’s perspective and the Truth of His love covers everything! What a privilege to be spectators of what the Holy Spirit does in the sessions and each session is unique! We do sessions in person and on the phone regularly, reaching all over the world! 

PRAYER TOPICS:

1)       We have an African summit of YWAM end of August in Muizenburg Cape Town – please pray for our finances for travel and stay.

2)      Our various schools launching in this season. 2 Prophetic, 1 Tpm and 1 Relationship school

3)      Our preparation for the course in entrepreneurial businesses in February next year.

4)      Job and Iida, Andrea and Francois, Elandri and Matthew and Jonathan and Josua – our kids who are all working hard, taking responsibility and sharing the love of Jesus daily! Please pray for them to grow and be blessed as they bless so many lives.

5)      Elandri is organizing a 4Life conference next week in Potch with Ratio-Christi – please pray for this!!
