Lock-down news from YWAM Potch
Hi from Potch.
I hope all are doing well although we are living in very interesting an
unprecedented time for the world currently.
Living in lockdown
We will have
had 35 days of strict lockdown come the 30 April. We are a family of 8 in the
house together as well as our Myanmar friends Charity & Sai-Moon. Everybody
went on with their work as well as they could online. We also had to decide how
missions will look like in lockdown.
We recently
had a YWAM Southern Africa ZOOM meeting with over 50 YWAM leaders of the
region. The message was on How does it look when God is pruning us?
We are also on
a YWAM Corona Facebook Prayer group - Please pray for all the bases in the
world especially for India and DRC that faces a lot of difficulty. As
Christians our “work of faith” is really to pray in this time and listen what
we can do!
Getting the Prophetic school online
– Listen!
There has been a lot of talk in
YWAM of the worth of online schools as there is no real face-to-face contact
possible in the next few months. Over the years we have engaged with schools
face- to-face and had about 400 students in different schools/courses. But the
big plus point for online courses and schools are that it can be available to
the masses and unreached groups. This is then a good time for me to work on an
online curriculum for the Prophetic school.
I am very
excited about this project because thousands of people can then engage with the
school. I am first putting all the information on SoundCloud that means that
people can listen to it when they drive or with earphones from their phones.
Later we will expand to a proper course on a Website with questions and the
books on the website, real interaction, Prophecies and homework as well.
We see this as
God’s season to get everything out there and allow the Holy Spirit to use it
worldwide. People can then do the school from the comfort of their homes even
in closed countries.

Corona virus
We also posted
8 different audio messages on the Corona virus on SoundCloud App. Many people
are wondering: “What is happening?”. In the messages we study different parts
of Scripture that is applicable (and very interesting).Feel free to listen to

Supporting Steven in Congo –
Operation Refugee Africa
There were big
floods in Congo in the city of Uvira. We saw the photos and the videos of what
happened there. Somebody donated some money to Operation refugee for Steven and
Steven could then help with food parcels and other needs in the desperate area
where people lost their houses and there where food shortages. Please continue
to pray also for this area in DRC. We are thankful to be some virtual hands and feet for their great
work done in DRC. Donations to Steven can be made via PAYPAL –
just indicate it is for Steven DRC.
PRAYER TOPICS:
1) Please continue to pray with us for the Corona
virus that has swept the globe and affects most of us in some way.
2) We especially pray for the US, Europe and Brazil in
this time as they are worst hit. We also continue to pray for a vaccine and the
medical sciences in this time.
3) We have been adversely affected financially as many
people have. We continue to trust and rely on the grace of God for our
provision and the way forward.
4) Please pray for our staff in Ikageng and at home
that also wait on the Lord in this time for His provision and direction. Sango
our staff from DRC also needs prayer as he is stuck in Switzerland after he did
a YWAM school there.
5) Please pray for our kids that do Matric this year
and Josua on grade 11 – as well as the University students that wait for
clarity on how to finish this study year. At the moment they really work hard
to keep up with the online-studies.
