We are very thankful to God for the
finishing of the DTS lecture phase in Potch this month. The DTS is now on
outreach. Please follow them as they do outreach.
DTS on outreach
We have a great
amount of leaders in this DTS and we feel very blessed to have had them in our
home for the last three months. They are already on outreach for 2 weeks and
they are doing great work. They will be doing outreach to Ottosdal,
Ventersdorp, Northern Mozambique and Malawi.
In our last week we had Ryan
Derlinger from the USA teaching in the DTS on power evangelism. He had a great
impact as the DTS reached out on the streets of Potch and at the university.
Wikus speaking in
Zimbabwe
Wikus was invited to speak at the DTS in
Gweru. This was the first DTS under the new government and is the only
surviving base at this stage in Zimbabwe. I went with a bus and was the only
white person on the bus and really experienced Africa in every way. It was a
very enjoyable experience and I made great friends at the DTS where they have
high quality Zimbabwe students.
God has been merciful with the
fall of two presidents that was not good news in Zimbabwe and South-Africa. In
SA specifically we are very encouraged by the new president and in Zimbabwe
there is also positive signs. We can surely see that all the prayers was not in
vain and God moved at the right time and brought major and significant positive
changes in a very peaceful way. Praise God!
New courses for this new season
We have an exciting time that we
are planning for the next semester. We are now in transition from the lecture
phase to the running of the ministries at the base. We have a new group that
Jonatan is planning at the hostel of Gimmies. A training in Lenasia, Potch and
Ikageng. We also have bible studies at the campus two times in a week. Please
pray with us as we have hit the 250 mark for people we have trained. It is very
difficult to determine the impact of all this training but we have a lot of very
positive testimonies coming back.
What are the
children doing?
Job
is studying second year in Physics and doing very well. He is also leading a

Andrea is first year in Consumer studies this year, its
difficult but very challenging for her. Elandri, Jonathan and Josua is at
school and we are very privileged to have our children in Gimmies. They are
busy with athletics, chess, violin, piano, rugby and e-sport at school !
PRAYER TOPICS
Ø Please
pray for our DTS on outreach and for them to end well! We praise God for
miracles and a lot of ministry that already took place by our team!
Ø Please
pray for our new courses and Bible studies that start soon, may God send us the
right people who are hungry for Him.
Ø We
thank God for our children and we keep on praying for each of them that have to
ambassadors of God’s Kingdom in the world.
Ø Please
pray for our finances – as volunteers in missions and YWAMers we don’t get
salaries for our mission work and the DTS course is completely run as a Non-profit
course, we therefor rely on sponsors to support us for our personal funding /
salary.
