YWAM DNA infusion - @Muizenberg GREAT experience !!

Praise God for everything He is doing. We have really seen God doing great things and the YWAM DNA infusion (conference) was really special. We heard some of the things God has been doing worldwide and it was a privilege to hear Darlene and Loren Cunningham. They started YWAM and through their pioneering work 2265 bases have been planted all around the world currently. Because of the foundational principles and the DNA in the movement the bases will multiply long after their lifetime, if it is God’s will and YWAM stays obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

One of the speakers was from a base through whom God has moved mightily. He is an African missionary from Togo and God called him to work close to Chibok in Nigeria where the 200 girls was abducted by Boko Haram. He started his work and went through quite a few experiences before his work became a move of God.

The first significant experience was when he boarded a bus. As he sat down the Holy Spirit said to him he must get off the bus immediately. He climbed off immediately with his co-worker and soon after he climbed off guys stormed the bus with AK47’s and shot on the people in the bus killing many. The missionary ran into the bush and had to decide if he was going to continue with his work in that area. He decided in the bush he will come back and continue.

Shortly after that he was at a meeting where money was being given to pastors. He felt the Holy Spirit said he shouldn’t take the money and he left the meeting. That evening militants came to his house and wanted to know why he didn’t take the money. He testified to them about Jesus and the small group came to Jesus because of that. After these incidents more and more people came to Jesus. This year they had more than 5000 students in the year and 30 000 militants came to Jesus in that area in Northern Nigeria. In the process all the militants that repented gave in their weapons and YWAM drove the weapons to the police with a truck. Praise God for the courage of the missionary and everything he did through the obedience of the missionary.

There were 36 countries, 86 bases and 250 people present at the DNA infusion and we had an amazing time with incredible networking happening as well..

Ending Bible Powerty NOW !

 Loren Cunningham talked about the new initiative - to end Bible poverty now. With all the new technology there is a major push to get the Bible translated into all the different languages in the world. We got the latest statistics of all the outstanding languages. We will also in our outreach do research about the percentage of Bibles available in Ikageng and we intend to distribute many Bibles in the DTS outreach time. Get involved in Bible distribution and support us with donations of bibles!

At the DNA infusion we were given a time to talk about our refugee ministry. We got several more YWAM bases involved all over Africa. Please pray with us so that we can get as many refugees as possible in DTS schools.

Please pray with us for this important season that we will walk in the will of God and obey Jesus in everything we do. Wikus is going to the Switzerland for a week for an YWAM meeting and a UN Peace Week. After that we have the TPMSA weekend conference and then the DTS starts immediately after that. At this stage it looks like 12 students and about a team of 7 helping us with the DTS.

PRAYER TOPICS

1)      Wikus is going to Switzerland for a week to a YWAM Think Tank after which they are going to the UN with grassroots ministries. YWAM Potch is going to represent the African refugee ministry.

2)      We have a national Train the Trainers weekend in which the trainers of TPM in SA is coming together for a very important weekend.

3)      DTS starts the 16 November and we will be busy for 5 months with the DTS.

4)      We are very busy in this time. Our house is very full and we have a lot of pressure. We really need prayer in this time.

5)      Operation Refugee (a YWAM Potch ministry) that releases refugees all over Africa to YWAM schools is now connected to many YWAM locations in Africa and we need funding for these refugees to walk into a new life.

6)      For the family in this busy time. The DTS comes in the vacation time of Jonatan, Elandri and Josua. We need wisdom how to do the work of God and family together.
