Preaching the Word in season ! September 2017
Hi, from Potch.
God is really good and it is a
great privilege to see everything God is doing! He has done some amazing things
in the last month and we are really looking forward to the next month.
Speaking at YWAM Johannesburg
YWAM Johannesburg is
in the centre of Johannesburg located in Troyville. I was there once but to go
and spend a week in the centre of Johannesburg was an interesting thought. When
I got to the base it was very pleasant to find all kinds of cultures in the DTS.
We had people in the class from Angola, Zimbabwe, California, Lenasia and
people from the local central Johannesburg community. I had a great time! The highlight for me was when I had the
privilege of doing a TPM session with a 9 year old girl that lost her two baby
brothers. She was in the ministry of Joseph project (YWAM JHB) but cried
uncontrollable some afternoons. In the session she could hear the voice of the
Holy Spirit and find answers from Jesus. Only Jesus could give answers that
satisfy in this situation. Afterwards the girl called together all her friends
and the staff and asked for forgiveness that she was so difficult. It was just
amazing to behold how Jesus answered her in this greatly difficult circumstance
she faced; as well as her intelligence and good heart as soon as she got the
answers from the Holy Spirit. Please pray for the many kids in the central area
of JHB facing very difficult family life situations.
DNA infusion in October
15-27 October we have a DNA infusion conference of YWAM where Loren
and Darlene Cunningham are coming together with great leaders of YWAM. It is a
great privilege to have the opportunity to learn from them and the other
leaders that have come before us and lived the life of world mission. It cost
quite a bit of money to drive down to Cape Town and to pay for everything.
Please pray with us as it is a very rare opportunity to go to a very high level
spiritual event. YWAM has been tried and tested for more than 50 years and has
proved to give excellent results.

Please pray for our finances as we still need to
raise R7800 for this two – week event in Cape Town.
We are looking forward for this preparation as we are preparing for
our fifth DTS starting the 16 Nov. Theme of our DTS is vulnerable children and
we will focus on orphan children, Refugee Children and mid-city children! We
are excited that we already have a nice bunch of students that registered.
Prophetic school weekend
We had a very good start to our first prophetic school. The Holy
Spirit spoke to me and said: “Churches takes cities but networks takes
countries”. Currently we have about 700 facilitators in the TPM network in
South Africa and we started with a network of the prophetic school. We will
probably train prophetic schools for the next few years as the school
multiplies through different cities. I am teaching with Petrus Cloete that is
an excellent teacher. We have learnt a lot from teaching the first school and
we will do a little longer school in the first semester of 2018. This school
activates people in their unique gifting and calling. As the people are
activated, it produces a multiplication effect of the work of the Holy Spirit.
As the TPM network is successfully running and multiplying we have learnt quite
a lot of the first network. Pray with us as this network spreads through
different churches and cultures. We want to stay submitted to the Scriptures,
working in teams and obeying the Holy Spirit. It is extremely exciting!
How is the family doing?
Job returned from Germany for two weeks.
He had a great time! The trip was born out of a connection with YWAM Durban
where Job met a very good friend that invited him to his wedding. Job and
Andrea are now both involved in the Campus ministry of YWAM Potch. Job helps
out with the TPM ministry as a trainer-in- training and he also leads weekly a bible
study on campus.
Andrea plans to go is going with us to the DNA infusion. For us the DNA
infusion is a big investment but we have found it very life-giving to be a
world-mission family. It is such a privilege to live by faith and to see God
moving. Finances are continually a challenge as we receive no salary at all
from the ministry. Yet we are doing things that are supposed to be impossible
in the true DNA of YWAM. It has been an incredible tough, rewarding and great
learning experience as we see the move of the Holy Spirit. Kids do not follow
fake religion and Job is the ultimate truth seeker. Yet he finds many answers
in the worldview of YWAM and has become a great teacher himself.
THANKFUL

We are thankful to say that God is really
blessing our prayer for renovations in our house (it is also the YWAM house at
the moment) – We got a lot of paint as a donation – so Andrea could paint the
front part of our house in a lovely modern shade. We also got a big present from
our family: a new shower for our kids’ bathroom!
§
We also thank the LORD for our kids that are so
grown-up already – the 3 high school kids are very independent and they help a
lot at home. They are also growing in friendships and relationships and we pray
for them to get the right friends and to be a great influence at their school.
§
We are also so thankful for a small group of
Christien’s final year Education students who visit the Orphanage weekly with
very entertaining and educational activities. Their hearts are so RIGHT to give
love for these precious orphan kids!
PRAYER TOPICS

Please pray for our finances and that God will
keep on providing for our kids to study next year.
Ø
Our DTS and all arrangements and VISA’s and
outreach and staff and accommodation and speakers. Everything looks fine at
this stage – but we really need God to provide, help and lead us with this DTS.
Ø
We are also planning and organising a TPM South
Africa Train the Trainers conference in November – there will be 50 – 70
people. Please pray for all the arrangements and that we will have great time
with God training us to do TPM and joining us together as a TPM Body in Christ!

DNA infusion arrangements – please pray with us
for this meeting, our finances and for our kids that will stay with grandma!
Ø
We also have some TPM camps coming up – the
courses in Potch & Fochville went very well and we are also happy to see
that the people we trained in Klerksdorp and Ventersdorp did the course on
their own and very well! Please pray for all these new TPM facilitators and
trainers.
