Happy New Year! to all who are praying and working that the kingdom of God may come in all spheres of society! May you have a blessed year and may you have an encounter with God this year as you get life!

New developments in the Potch base

We have come to get used to the fact that we get surprises from God during the DTS. Tiaan inscribed the day of the DTS as he was back from America and he didn’t know his next step. This proved to be a life-changing decision as he really encountered God and can now go on with a degree in the University of the Nations ( of YWAM)!

We are having a very special time with the DTS as we are now at week 10 and 2 weeks from the outreach to Botswana, Zambia and the refugee camp in Malawi.

We had 8 students. Khamo is an orphan and only did half of the lecture phase but will finish next year. Of the other we had three system engineers doing the DTS and 4 other very good students.

It was a good group with strong leaders and we expect great things from them as they have outreach to the VUT (Vaal University of Technology)and the team to the Malawi refugee camp.

When Stefaan Hugo visited we ministered to about a thousand people in 4 different meetings as well as ministering at the DTS. We saw many miracles as there were demons going out, healings, prophecies and many people coming to the Lord.

 In one school 30 new people came to Jesus.

PRAYER TOPICS

Please  Pray with us:

·         Our DTS is nearing the end of lecture phase and they are doing fundraising for the outreach to Botswana, Zambia & Malawi – please pray for a break-through and for their faith to grow in the process – that GOD WILL PROVIDE!

·         We are so thankful that the two students we sponsored from the Malawian refugee camp – finished their DTS successfully and received their DTS certificates. This is more than a certificate – it’s a new way of living, new faith and freedom from an orphan spirit!! On the photo with them is Steven ( our first refugee DTS student here in Potch 2016 )

·         Please pray for Steven as he got his VISA to come to South Africa for 90 days – he still need funds to pay his transport from Malawi – Potch.

·         Please pray with us for our family in 2017 and the kids who have new plans and seasons .( growing up too fast!!)

·         We started with a new TPM (counselling) course this week in Klerksdorp , a neighbouring town. Please pray for the course, our students and a powerful ministry of Hearing from Jesus for emotional healing! Anyone still welcome to join !

·         We as a family also need prayer in regards to our day to day costs, our combi is broken and they struggle to fix it now for more than a week.  Wikus’s phone also broke and we need to get him a phone soon!

·         We really enjoyed the DTS in our house for over 2 months, but this was also some sacrifice and burden. YWAM courses do not pay salaries for the leaders or staff and therefore we really pray for some new funding to come in as result of our work with God’s workers we discipled intensively during  this time.

·         Please pray for more WORKERS for the field as the harvest is plenty – especially here in Potch and in Southern Africa. 

This week was Christien’ and the twins’s Birthdays  - We are very thankful to celebrate our lovely family!
