Dear Friends
This month we share more about our YWAM vision and the DTS that’s currently running. Enjoy!
Clear Water Revival:
When Wikus was 19 God gave him this picture:  God showed him a big flood, the water was everywhere but very brown and murky. The words came: “So were previous revivals”,Then it changed to a smaller clear mountain stream, he got the impression that God was more interested in the purity of the revival and move of the Holy Spirit than in a big murky flood. I believe this referred to small intentional life groups. Later on we became involved with Ywam and it became clear that we can do DTS’s that multiplies revival based on scripture and clear revelation of the Holy Spirit.
Our Focus:
When somebody has a life-giving relationship with Jesus it will multiply naturally, but discipleship is needed to help create this life-giving relationship. We want to disciple the community with DTS’s (YWAM Discipleship Training Schools) and there model an intentional discipleship lifestyle. Matt 28:18-20.
Northwest University was the last Christian university in SA, then forbidden to be one by the government.
There are lots of Christian students around, hungry for God’s will in their lives. Every DTS student are trained to start life groups where they disciple 7-12 individuals into their God given destiny.
POTCHEFSTROOM
Potchefstroom is 100 km west of Johannesburg and hour and ½  from the international airport. There is 26 tousand full time students on the local University campus. There is 200 thousand students on the 10 different campuses of 4 major universities in the northern area of Gauteng, surrounding Potch.
Countries reached:
Our DTS of 2013/14 already did outreach in our local community, our neighboring university cities and also to Russia. The plan is to go to Madagascar and Mauritius for outreach this year’s DTS group. We also reached out to Washington DC ministering in churches and small groups about the Freedom in Christ. The plan is to extent our counseling ministry to other cities in our area this year as well as in Washington DC.
We want Jesus followers that lives a devoted mission focused, soul winning discipleship lifestyle as they make their dreams come true.

How is the DTS doing?
We started on Friday the 21st with our second YWAM Discipleship Training School. We have 13 students and we have people from Mauritius, Madagascar, South-Korea, South-Africa, USA, Netherlands, Russia and Brazil involved in the DTS. Further we have 7 different South African people groups: Pedi, Shangaan, Xhosa, Sotho, Swazi, Tswana and Afrikaners. We have many people groups represented and basically everyone is from a different people group. We can see that God is raising up leaders and we have a start from all different  people groups. 5 of the 13 are university students and will probably go into the different spheres of society like Engineering, Psychology, etc. We thank God for the privilege to work with all these people. We are now currently renting 2 houses and it starts to feel more and more like a base and the atmosphere are really warm. We look forward to this journey of 3 months where we will stand before God together. There is a tangible excitement and expectation about what God is going to do. I am excited with them and we are glad for the second building block God has given us in our journey as a base. Please pray with us.
More about Wikus & Christien
We are a family with 5 children, focused on missions since we married 18 years ago. We did ministry in the poor African areas close to our city and we did home churches, prayer groups, helped pre-schools and HIV Orphans. We are doing the YWAM ministry in Potch since 2009. Our focus it to mobilize university students for missions. To train leaders in the community and to disciple their communities. We have a strong counseling ministry, student bible studies and a YWAM Student’s house. We host outreach teams or volunteers, train YWAM courses and we do a lot of personal discipleship.
Our needs:
·                     We need personal support for our family. As YWAM staff we do not get payment from training YWAM courses. We have to raise all our support ourselves.
·                     We will appreciate a monthly commitment from different individuals. With 5 kids it is a constant challenge to meet our monthly needs and our 2 oldest kids are also approaching university age. We are praying for persons that are willing to partner with this Ywam ministry in Africa. We believe this ministry is making and will continue to make a big difference in this area.
Please pray about your contribution and let us know.
